Oh my isn't it hot??? Its sweltering here and looks set to get hotter!! :O How are you all managing in this heat? Our air conditioner has been going non stop since lunch time today....our house heats up after a few hot days......we would probably get an evaporative one on the roof for next summer, I just find that is pretty hard working in the heat especially when you get hot and sticky and sweat all over your pretty papers!!!! Not a good look!!Well we are still waiting to hear about the loan and to see if we will actually get the new home that we are after(the holdup isn't the money, its because its in an industrial area!!)......we believe that we will, but also believe that if we don't then God has other ideas for us that we don't yet know about.......the home we have been looking at is perfect for us, especially when you take scrapping into consideration!! As I look around our lounge room and wonder, what am I going to do with all the new stock?????? So if you have read to here then you will know that we are going to have a giveaway :<) some nice products for your stash.......does that make you happy??? Good!! then just leave us a comment on this post to be in the running for something special!!!Kathie :)

I am feeling your pain about the heat Kathie, it's hot up here too...and our place isn't air conditioned! :-( It was so hot here today that I could not face scrapping, and it's only now that it is starting to cool down that I am getting some mojo! Try to stay cool and I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

It's winter here in the U.S. and where I'm at this morning its just 33 degrees F. I would like a little more heat but I don't love sweltering and I hate to sweat!
Good luck on the purchase of your new home!
Hope you get the cool change that we have now got in the south. I can't scrap in the heat either. Hope your loan comes through for you. Cheers!
Hot here yesterday Kathie, I actually laid down with little one when he had his sleep (the aircon box is in the bedroom) you cannot find the motivation to do anything else. I too hope everything works out with your new home, like you said, give it to God and wait and see, I do that with lots of things. He knows whats for the best. Love to you all Melxx
Yes! Right about this time last year you were over here! It was great fun wasn't it? Well, we are in the middle of a heatwave so am feeling it too. Good luck with the purchase of your new home too Kathie! xxxx
Hello Kathie,
Today has been a pleasant relief, fingers crossed for the house plans. I am sure the right one will just drop into your hands.
Oops sorry Kathy that was Heddie
Melting down here as well. Good luck with the loan - I hate dealing with that stuff its always a drama, makes me want to curl up into the fetal position just thinking about it!
Hey kathie,
Hows it going?

Hey Kathie, I dont advise an evaporative at all...All my papes have curled and pages curl as you work on them...It is a pain in the rear end...Stay with refigerated if you can! Heat isnt too bad here....Bareable at least! Hope to catch up soon! Sharynne
tis very hot over here at the mo - most days over 45 degrees! you kinda get used to it though - i even went & but a jumper on the other night as i was cold LOL! - was still about 35 then!!! good luck with the purchase of the house - i am presuming there is a niceroom for your scrapping area LOL!
Boiling up here in Townsville, and extremely humid. Luckily we have the air con, but really you have to in the tropics! I really, really hope you get the house, and that it all settles soon. Very stressful buying a house, so stay calm!

I can't believe that you are still holding out on news from the bank -I am hoping that you have or have had good news by now
This is our third summer with evaporative cooling and I have to say that it has been the best money spent. Refigerative and split systems were not an option for us given the design of our house and even had a cooling specialist come out to the house and it was his recommendation that evaporative would be the best way to go. We were of course apprehensive at first at how good it would be given humidity etc but I have to say that our whole house is cooled effectively and efficiently and it is economical to run. We LOVE it and I myself have no problems with paper curling etc when I scrap with it going. My MIL lives in Swan Hill and they have evaporative cooling as well. It does a wonderful job -and we all know how damn hot it gets there
