It must be frustrating especially as it's not by your doing the background disappeared!!! Could it be one of blogspots 'hiccups' that it's had of late???
just had a bit of a cruise of backgrounds have you tried any of the Whimsical backgrounds or Antique Bits or maybe Birdy in a Pear Tree I think any of those would go with the colours of your Header....oxo
