Happy week...I think??

How ya's doing???? Have had a sick little girl for the last couple of days.....not good at all....all she has had to eat since Sunday night is 3 tablespoons jelly, 2 dry pieces of toast and just now, half a banana.....Miss Gillian dislikes being sick like the rest of us....TV is boring she says!! :D
Happy birthday to our dear friend Heather for yesterday....and our sweet DIL, Bec who turns 22 today.....pray that your special days were very special and that you were both totally spoilt!! Now shall we have a little giveaway today??? Yes we will!! Tell us a story about moving home that you remember: good or bad doesn't matter!! Our last move 4 years ago was a bit of a nightmare for me as I got really sick....was most unpleasent.....so I'm looking forward to the next one.....well maybe not the actual move, but the setting up and spreading out bit will be good!!! :D

Been in this house since 1983. The move that was the funniest was to another state and not everything would fit in the moving van. We tied the rocking chair to the outside of the back doors of the truck and made Granny jokes from the TV show Beverly Hillbillies.

I havent moved for a few years but am hoping that we will be very soon! So how about I just tell you about my dream of moving...the one where I blink my eyes "genie style" and everyone is done...LOL. A couple of things I am dreaming about having after my move are a full-sized clothesline, a fenced backyard and a bigger scrap room! XXX

We've moved a few times.. I hate moving, as much as a change can be good, packing and unpacking sucks - so much so that with our big move that we just did (interstate) I'm unpacking boxes that we're finding were packed after Nathan and I first got married - 13 years ago!!!! It didn't help that even though our family grew our houses tended to get smaller (such is the life of a tenant in NW Tassie)

As for something I know in time we'll eventually look back and smile at is with our recent move. The company came in and were apparently professional packers... so much so that EVERYTHING they packed was labeled "shed" I kid you not.. My sewing machine "shed" crockery and kitchen appliances "shed" The only boxes not labeled shed were the ones we packed ourselves!!!

Sheesh, I've written another essay - sorry! hahaha

Beccie, glad you're having a great birthday!!!

I have moved so many time I have lost count.
Probably the best move was when Brian and I moved from 'my' house into our first (rental) house together.
But then again...
Well you know how stressful moving is? Well you expect to fight right? and youknow what a heavily pregnant womans hormones are liek right?
Well we moved into this house when I was 7 months pregnant with Eli. We had been in here a couple of days and both of us realise that we hadn't argued over anything once!
So hope we don't have to move again for a few more years though.

Forgot to add that I hope Gillian feels better soon!!! It's not fun being sick - especially when TV is being boring ;) **hugs**

Only done 1 big move (to a new country) by myself with 3 young kids on my own as DH went ahead and when it all arrived I had to unpack all by myself because DH had just been released from hospital with swine flu!!! Never going to forget it and never moving again......LOL

Thank goodness I haven't moved a lot in my married life - just the 3 times but when I was young and single I seemed to move constantly - in fact at one stage I moved 7 times in the space of 3 years! I sometimes wonder what I was thinking back then!!

We have moved several times over the years, but the most memorable was the move from Victoria to QLD, with my 12year old daughter, the budgie, my oil paintings (well I worked hard to save for them and I wasn't about to leave them behind) and a microwave, blankets, pillows and clothes; all in the old commodore. Wow can you believe it.. didn't know a soul up there- just wanted a fresh start. LOL ..xx

I have not experienced moving homes much.... however it would be a great way to de-clutter your home and clear out all the unwanted stuff.
