Hi friends, here are some ways that you can assist now. Monetary donations are the preferred donations at the moment. If you can afford to give, please dig deep for these people who have lost everything.
1. Donate blood for burns victims, call

2. Red Cross donations line (money is the preferred option now) 1800811700

3. National Australia bank: donations can be made to: Victoria Bushfire Relief Fund:

4. The Salvation Army has launched an appeal to help bushfire victims as well as those affected by flooding in North Queensland. They will help those in relief centres with support and counselling as well as provide emergency financial assistance to enable people to buy clothing and personal items.

Great for keeping people up to date. Please find it in your hearts to dig that little deeper.

Hey Kathie, I hope you don't mind but I have cut and pasted the info here over on my blog too..It feels very close to home for me given that I only just over the border in the Mount. We are all thinking and praying for everyone...Praying for loads of rain and no lighting too!!
